Resting....What does that mean to you? What does it look like to you? The Word calls us to rest. But the word does not say be lazy, it says to rest. What is the difference?

Natural vs. Spiritual Rest

In the natural...most of the time when we rest, it means being inactive...laying around and doing nothing, literally.

But when the Lord and the word spoke about rest, it meant / means to stop striving from doing things that only God can do.

We are not to force a thing to happen we are to rest / be still / and know that if God gave you a promise He will carry it out. He will honor His word and that without a lot of striving we will experience the promise.

Biblical Foundation

There are so many places in the Bible that talk about resting, so we should study what it is saying and like everything else in the scripture, apply it to our lives.

As, we work to apply this behavior in our lives, we also should use our words that will help us to rest.

Speaking Life into the very things God promised us He will do.

Example: Healing

Jehovah Rapha is the God that heals. So as we are believing God will heal us, we are not striving in worry, but resting in trusting in the PROMISE as we declare...I AM HEALED.

Aligning Words with Faith

Let your words line up with what you are believing and rest all at the same time.

As we speak the things we desire and are believing we will begin to live the life we were striving to obtain with our becoming weary.

Rest and Speak Life and allow the promises of God too manifest.

Reflection Question

What does or will your rest look like now?

Blessings 😉💜💜💜
